This publication is run by a volunteer collective of writers, researchers, designers, photographers, artists and videographers committed to awareness of and education about social and environmental injustices. This ad-free project dissolves barriers between academic inquiry and public information, which we believe represents a substantive yet surmountable failure of academia and conventional media outlets. By blending this with an artistic approach, we focus on social justice from both a written and visual perspective.
A nonprofit media house for nonprofits
MAN works with nonprofits to create effective media tools – photos, videos, graphics and copy – that will help their message get heard. By operating as a nonprofit, MAN is able to provide an economical and professional option for our partner organizations.

An Independent Grassroots Publication
OTP was a not-for-profit grassroots newspaper located in Denver, Colorado and serviced the country as a whole. OTP published both a free print edition of the newspaper and maintained a web presence which is no longer available for viewing. Today, the vast majority of information outlets are either agenda driven, sensationalizing, or are too shallow to actually convey any information of value. At OTP, we hoped to offer our readers an alternative with an objective to present an informed view of current social, economic, political and environmental issues facing our communities and our nation as a whole.
Working Within Our Community
Becoming aware of societal injustices is only half the battle. Media Action Network provides resources and opportunities for communities to create needed positive change via media forms. Media Action Network promotes and supports public educational activities to establish, support and promote social justice.
